EQUIPMENT RENTALS

We admit it: we’re gearheads. While nothing beats having a great crew, story and the right plan to execute it, the right equipment can make a huge difference to the production quality of your shoot (and it’s fun to use too). Needless to say, we’ve built up quite a collection over the past eight years!
Now, we want to share our gear with other Niagara creatives to help them elevate their own projects (and, let’s face it, to help us fund our gear addiction).
All our rentals are picked up and dropped off at our Crystal Beach location and are subject to HST. You can read more about our rental process and policies, as well as view our comprehensive equipment inventory, below.
Please note that as of August 2022, there is a minimum rental order of $50 before tax. Thank you for your understanding!
Our Rental Process
+ Step 1 - Request Your Equipment
Fill our our equipment request form with the equipment you want to rent and the dates you’d like to rent it for.
+ Step 2 - Confirmation and Booking
If the equipment is available for your requested dates, we’ll let you know and book in a pickup and dropoff time.
+ Step 3 - Pickup Your Equipment
At your scheduled pickup time, visit our Crystal Beach location to complete your paperwork, pay for the rental and collect your equipment. To protect our gear, we may require that you provide a certificate of insurance and/or put a temporary hold on your credit card as a security deposit, especially for large orders or new customers. Larger rental requests may be subject to additional verification. If this is necessary, we'll let you know! We also need you to read and sign our rental agreement.
+ Step 4 - Go Shoot!
Enjoy using your rented gear! If you have any questions, run into any emergencies or would like to request an extension to your rental period, just text or email us and we’ll help the best we can.
+ Step 5 - Return Your Equipment
Return your gear to us at your scheduled dropoff time. We’ll inspect it and if everything is in full working order, we’ll refund your temporary credit card charge (if applicable). This refund may take a few days to process depending on your bank.
FAQ’s
+ Where are you located?
Our equipment is available to rent from our Crystal Beach, Ontario location, a short drive from Niagara Falls, Welland, St. Catharines and the Greater Niagara Region. For security reasons, we'll send you the exact address once your rental request is confirmed.
+ What happens if I break or lose something?
Once you walk out of our door, the gear you rented is your responsibility. If you break it, let us know as soon us possible. You may need to pay to have the equipment repaired or replaced. If you lose it, it's stolen or you refuse to return it, you buy it. If you are renting a lot of gear, we recommend you purchase your own short-term equipment rental insurance. That said, it's better to try to avoid accidents in the first place, so be careful with the equipment, don't leave it unattended, rig it safely and call us or read the manuals uploaded to our rental items list page if you're not sure how to properly use it.
+ Are you insured?
Our equipment is insured for our use, but not for yours. Once you walk out of our door, it's your responsibiility. We recommend you purchase your own short-term equipment rental insurance through a third-party if you're renting more than $1000 of gear.
+ How do security holds/damage deposits work?
To protect our equipment and keep our rental prices low, we may require a security hold or damage deposit for higher-value or higher-risk orders, especially for new customers. This temporary charge is refunded when you return the equipment and we inspect it to be complete and in the condition it was rented out in.
+ What if I need to extend a rental?
We get it, sometimes shoots run overtime and things happen. Let us know as soon as possible and we'll try to accomodate you as long as another customer doesn't already have the equipment booked.
+ Do you offer discounts?
In special cases, we may be able to offer a deal. Contact us and we'll see what we can do!
+ What is your cancellation policy?
For some rentals that require more time to prepare for you or that are in high demand, we may ask for a deposit to secure your booking. If so, you can cancel for free up to 48 hours before the shoot. If you cancel within 48 hours or are a no-show, we will retain the deposit. As always, we understand that things happen that are sometimes beyond our control - just keep us in the loop and we'll try to accomodate you.
+ What if I want something that's not listed on the site?
We have a lot of gear, and not all of it is currently listed online. Contact us and we'll see what we can do! If we don't have it and there's enough demand, we'll consider adding it in the future.
